This is the easiest of the origami rabbit designs. I use a block of square paper from the dollar store. The hardest step for students is folding the ears up, so demonstrate it slowly and walk around the classroom to check for understanding during that part.
For Japanese teachers who want to add this to their lessons, I recommend teaching entirely in Japanese. Set aside the following blocks of time:
